Bitcoin Bundesverband launches mobile-first academy for politics
Political decision-makers and their teams rarely have time for long statements or webinars. This is exactly where our new academy comes in: short, mobile-optimized learning modules that convey in just a few minutes why Bitcoin is politically relevant – and why it is clearly distinguishable from “crypto”.
Bitcoin is no longer a niche topic. Monetary sovereignty, energy policy, regulation, location competition or financial inclusion – hardly any other topic touches on so many political fields at the same time. Nevertheless, there is often a lack of time for structured familiarization in everyday political life. Long PDFs, one-hour lectures or one-on-one meetings often fail due to the reality of tightly scheduled calendars.
The association is therefore taking a new approach with the Bitcoin Bundesverband Academy. Together with the member and service provider app-learning.com, a microlearning academy was developed that is consistently mobile first. Learning takes place where political work happens anyway: between two appointments, on the train or during a lunch break – directly on your smartphone. Instead of additional appointments, the academy fits into existing micro-breaks.
What the Academy does
The content is divided into short, self-contained modules. Each module is designed so that it can be understood on its own. If you have five minutes, you learn five minutes – if you want to go deeper, you can flexibly expand the content.
The learning journey deliberately does not begin with technical details, but with the political classification of Bitcoin. Why is the topic relevant for legislation, economic policy and Germany as a business location? Why is it crucial to clearly distinguish Bitcoin from the collective term “crypto”?
This is followed by in-depth modules on technology, ownership issues and regulation – including a classification of common misunderstandings. Even controversial topics such as energy consumption are examined on the basis of facts instead of being reduced to buzzwords.
Quizzes help to consolidate understanding and make progress visible. The “Bitcoin Mandate” and “Future Shaper” certificates set clear learning objectives and create additional motivation to complete the modules in full. This not only makes learning more efficient, but also more tangible and shareable.
Publicly accessible – deliberately scalable
The Academy is deliberately open to the public. It is not only aimed at MPs and their teams, but can also be used and recommended by the entire community.
Members of the association can actively integrate the content into their outreach work – be it in conversations, via direct message or in the newsletter. This makes political education work scalable: instead of imparting knowledge again and again in individual discussions, a central point of contact is created that can be referred to at any time.
Lean production, flexibly expandable
The production method is also remarkable. The content was essentially created by one person on the association side in around three and a half days. This was made possible by clear didactic templates from app-learning.com and a lean, iterative process.
The chosen structure also allows for easy expansion. In-depth modules – for example on energy and mining, tax issues, monetary policy principles or international regulatory trends – can be seamlessly integrated without having to redesign the overall concept.
Thanks to app-learning.com
Special thanks go to our member app-learning.com, which was responsible for the didactic concept, learning logic and technical implementation. The academy is an example of what is possible when members contribute their expertise to the association and develop concrete solutions together.
