Peter Rochel helps companies base their Bitcoin decisions on evidence rather than opinion. Since 2006, he has been using in-depth “Jobs-to-be-Done” interviews to uncover why people really get involved, switch, or drop out—he has guided over 700 companies in making product and business model decisions in this way.
In 2026, he published the Bitcoin Adoption Study 2026: the first qualitative longitudinal study on Bitcoin adoption in the DACH region, which draws on 35 in-depth interviews rather than survey percentages. It provides segment-specific insights into where adoption succeeds and where it fails—the data foundation that enables banks, small and medium-sized businesses, and Bitcoin providers to make robust arguments to their leadership rather than relying on assumptions.
Peter is a founding member of the Bitcoin Bundesverband, owner of Oberwasser Consulting, managing director of Comply AI UG, and co-founder and shareholder of UTXO Solutions GmbH. He has been discussing Bitcoin on his podcast since 2018 and has been speaking at boot camps and meetups on Bitcoin business model innovation since 2023.
