Yvonne Strathmann is the Chief Financial Officer of the German Bitcoin Association and has been actively involved in the association’s development since its founding in September 2024.

She initially served as a supporting member of the Education Committee. From February through June 2026, she also assisted the association with member services and subsequently played an active role in preparing for the transition to the new legislative term.

Professionally, Yvonne Strathmann has many years of experience in the automotive industry. She has been working in this field for more than 25 years and is also self-employed in the areas of organizational development and leadership development. She brings her experience in club and association work, social counseling, and communication to her role at the Bitcoin Federal Association.

In addition to her professional work, she is a certified trainer in Nonviolent Communication and the founder of the project platform bitcoin-dachli.com. She is also an active petitioner in the proHaltefrist initiative.

Key Areas of Focus at the German Bitcoin Association

A key focus of her work on the board is on clear, reliable, and transparent structures. This includes transparent processes, careful financial management, open communication within the board, and regular dialogue with the members.

As Chief Financial Officer, Yvonne Strathmann is specifically responsible for ensuring that the association’s financial processes are organized in a transparent, accountable, and reliable manner.

Another priority is close collaboration within the German Bitcoin community. The Bitcoin Bundesverband aims to serve as a reliable partner and effectively represent shared interests alongside other initiatives and stakeholders. For them, the collaboration within the proHaltefrist initiative is an example of how joint efforts within the Bitcoin community can make a difference.

National and International Networking

Yvonne Strathmann is also advocating for stronger national and international networking within the Bitcoin Federal Association.

Particularly when it comes to regulatory issues such as DAC8, the digital euro, and other policy initiatives, the interests of Bitcoin companies and the Bitcoin community should be represented early on and in an informed manner.

In their view, companies need reliable and innovation-friendly conditions in the long term in order to develop successfully.

Engage Members and Strengthen Collaboration

Another key focus of her work is fostering a trusting and constructive working relationship within the association.

Yvonne Strathmann wants to help ensure that members can actively contribute their experiences, skills, and ideas to the Bitcoin Federal Association. Clear responsibilities, transparent communication, and respectful collaboration are, for her, essential prerequisites for the association to function effectively.

Together with the other members of the Executive Board, she aims to further develop the Bitcoin Federal Association’s organizational structure, strengthen collaboration within the Bitcoin community, and ensure that the association can reliably fulfill its responsibilities toward its members, businesses, and the public.
